First Step First

How a handful of stones can lead to a life of significance.

The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.
Ancient Chinese Proverb

It all must begin somewhere. One small handful of stones is as good a place as any to get things started. Of course, it’s normally a great idea to begin with a vision of what the finished product will look like. But that’s not really a requirement for every worthwhile project in life.

Why?

This is a good place to start. Why?

Simon Sinek wrote the book, Start with Why, underscoring how important it is to know why you are undertaking any endeavor. In the case of an organization, Start with Why makes it clear that understanding and communicating why you (the organization) exist and why you do what you do is paramount to your organization’s success.

This is also a great way to start a new blog. After all, why would you want to read a blog if you don’t have a pretty good idea why the author is publishing in the first place?

I will have more to say about this, but for now, this is a hint of what’s to come. It is here just in case you arrived before the site is really ready for publishing.
